1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use govern access to StatementForge and its website, converter, account, and billing features. By using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be legally capable of entering an agreement in the place where you live.
2. What StatementForge provides
StatementForge uses browser-based software to read supported files, identify likely transaction rows, let you review or edit those rows, and generate formats such as CSV, XLSX, JSON, QBO, OFX, or QIF.
File layouts, scan quality, bank conventions, and accounting import rules vary. A file may parse partially, contain mistakes, or fail to import into another product. No bank, accounting platform, or file format is guaranteed to work unless a specific written guarantee says otherwise.
3. Your responsibilities
- Use only documents and data you own or are authorized to process.
- Protect your device, browser session, account, downloads, and sign-in credentials.
- Review outputs against the source document before importing, posting, sharing, or filing them.
- Keep independent copies of documents and exports you need; StatementForge is not document storage.
- Follow the rules of your bank, accounting platform, employer, client, and applicable law.
- Provide accurate billing and account information.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use StatementForge to:
- process documents without authorization or violate another person’s privacy or rights;
- commit fraud, evade law, create deceptive records, or facilitate unlawful activity;
- introduce malware, disrupt the service, bypass security, or probe systems without permission;
- automate access in a way that overloads the service or defeats published plan limits;
- resell or present the service as your own without written permission; or
- reverse engineer protected service components except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security, or legal risk.
5. Paid plans and billing
- Prices, currency, included usage, and billing cadence are shown before checkout.
- Stripe processes payments and may ask for information needed to complete a purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled unless checkout clearly says otherwise.
- Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not itself reverse an already completed charge.
- Plan limits and paid access can change prospectively, with reasonable notice for material changes.
- Taxes may be added where required.
Refund eligibility is described in the Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
6. Ownership
You retain your rights in the files and data you lawfully process. StatementForge does not claim ownership of statement contents merely because you use the converter.
The StatementForge name, interface, software, original content, and branding remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of the service.
7. Third-party services and names
Authentication, hosting, payment processing, and destination file imports may involve third parties. Their services are governed by their own terms. StatementForge is independent software and is not affiliated with or endorsed by a bank, QuickBooks, Quicken, Microsoft Excel, or another accounting platform unless explicitly stated.
8. Availability and changes
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may be corrected, changed, suspended, or discontinued. No uptime, response-time, compatibility, or support SLA is offered unless separately agreed in writing.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StatementForge is provided without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or error-free output. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions, so they may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StatementForge is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for losses caused by unreviewed exports, third-party imports, unauthorized documents, browser data loss, or events outside reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
10. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the service changes. The “last updated” date identifies the current version. Material changes apply prospectively, subject to applicable law.
